The Hearing Care Centre is a well established independent
practice. They have no specific commitment to any one manufacturer
of hearing instruments and deal with all the leading makes
in hearing aid manufacture and development, such as Siemens,
Widex, Oticon, Danavox, Starkey, Phonak, Phillips and many
others.
As
the company are independent they are able to give totally
unbiased advice leading to the prescription of the most
appropriate type of hearing instrument to suit an individual's
needs and have access to the very latest in hearing aid
technology.
The
two Principals of the Company, Karen Finch RHAD FSHAA and
Vicki Skeels RHAD FSHAA MBAAT are both well renowned and
respected in the hearing aid profession.
Karen,
(based in Ipswich) is Vice President of the British Society
of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA), a member of the British
Society of Audiology (BSA) and the Association of Independent
Hearing Healthcare Professionals (AIHHP). Karen specialises
in digital hearing aid technology and the management of
tinnitus having trained with the British Tinnitus Association
as a lay counsellor in tinnitus therapy.
Vicki,
(based in Colchester) worked originally in hearing research
at Nottingham University and as Head of Audiology at Northampton
General Hospital. Since qualifying privately in 1988 she
practiced independently, off Harley Street and for a leading
manufacturer in New Zealand, also as an independent audiologist
in Colchester since 1995. Vicki is also a dispenser representing
Independent Hearing Aid Audiologists on the Hearing Aid
Council.
The
Hearing Care Centre, together with their part-time
centres are dedicated to providing and maintaining the
highest professional and ethical standards of hearing care.
